to activate the high beam assistant for vehicles with the Sign Assist or Lane Assist option. (High Beam Assist for Xenon headlamps) The vehicle must be equipped with the camera Ref 5Q0 : 5Q0-980-653-E (A3 8V phase 1, the camera is located at the top of the windshield at the level of the rear-view mirror, in the shape of a triangle). Caution if vehicle is equipped with DLA (Dynamic Light Assist) coding impossible (Light Assist already activated on auto lights) Watch out! There are 4 lines of coding to do here.

Procedimiento manual documentado con VCDS / VAG-COM
- Con el motor apagado y el contacto quitado, conecta el cable VCDS al ordenador y después conecta el otro extremo a la toma de diagnosis del vehículo.
- Da el contacto y abre VCDS. Bloque 1:
- Pulsa «Select», después pulsa «09 – Cent. Elect.».
- Pulsa «Coding – 07» después pulsa «Long Coding Helper».
- Selecciona el Byte «2». Después, en el desplegable del Bit 0-2, selecciona «03 Lighting: Bi-Xenon Headlights with Light Assit (PR-8IG/8IP+8G1)». Bloque 2:
- Pulsa «Security Access – 16» e introduce el código «31347».
- Pulsa «Adaptation – 10».
- En esta pantalla, en la parte superior, hay un menú desplegable. En ese desplegable, selecciona «Assistance light functions-Menuesteuerung Femlichtassistent».
- En esta misma pantalla, en la parte inferior, hay un segundo menú desplegable. Select «present» y confirma. Bloque 3:
- Pulsa «Adaptation – 10».
- En esta pantalla, en la parte superior, hay un menú desplegable. En ese desplegable, selecciona «Assistance light functions-Menuesteuerung Femlichtassistent Werkseinstellung».
- En esta misma pantalla, en la parte inferior, hay un segundo menú desplegable. Select «present» y confirma. Bloque 4:
- Pulsa «Select» después pulsa «. A5 – Frt Sens. Drv. Assist «.
- Pulsa «Security Access – 16» e introduce el código «20103».
- Pulsa «Coding – 07» después pulsa «Long Coding Wizard».
- Selecciona el Byte «2» Después, en el desplegable del Bit 0-7, selecciona «01 Coding_Light_Assist High_Beam_Assist».
